I have tried a number of alcohol free beers at home but, thus far, have not found one that I would consider drinking on a regular basis.

Did a grocery shop today and had to wait a little while for restricted item approval - for non alcoholic lager. WTF Huh?  Huh?

"Non-alcohol" beer is, quite often, 0.5% alcohol. Your system can deal with that volume quicker than the drink can get you sloshed, so in effect it is non-alcohol.

What about shandy? Don't think that is a restricted item?

I think shandy is probably classed as a soft drink?

I don't disagree with your overall point though.

I don't know if they still do it but the only one I found that was something like drinkable beyond a single bottle was a Sainsbury's alcohol free pilsner.

(I am merely guessing here) I reckon some of the more wealthy in society probably do pay significant sums of money to just spend time with a member of the opposite sex without actually doing anything sexual with them. Probably more 'escort' than 'prostitute' mind you.

When they aren't soliciting children for sex? Doubt it.

Where has the word ‘woke’ come from all of a sudden?

Been doing the rounds for the last couple of years. Another angle on the constant toxic push and pull between those permanently offensive and those permanently offended, all fuelled by social media.

Where has the word ‘woke’ come from all of a sudden?

Its become the go to insult from those who seem to think giving a shit about someone who isn't yourself or as privileged as you is a bad thing or some sort of weakness.

The dictionary definition is 'alert to injustice in society, especially racism.' although those using it as an insult often get quite sniffy when you point this out.

It seems to often stem from this governments desperate attempts to start a culture war, realising its about all they have left that they haven't fucked up. This is worth it for the sheer blather.... https://twitter.com/Cornwall4EU/status/1351993552616697861
