I like the idea of it being scheduled.

That well known racist film Flash Gordon has been reclassified as there is a slight chance somebody, somewhere may find is mildly offensive.

“Flash's arch nemesis, Ming the Merciless, is sort of coded as an East Asian character due to his hair and make-up," he said.

"But he's played by a Swedish actor in the film, he's played by Max von Sydow, which I don't think is something that would happen if this were a modern production."

Mr Tindall said the BBFC was aware this is something that viewers "may find dubious, if not outright offensive".

Jesus wept.

I don't think it's so much the "people" being offended. I think it is the regulators "assuming" that people will be.

It also means that all of William Shakespeare's works were for pretty much nothing and we might as well ditch panto (not a bad thing maybe) as gender appropriation for character roles is often reversed in both formats of work.

Most actors enjoy the challenge of being able to be convincing of someone totally opposite to who they may be. Good ones research the role well and indeed do become very convincing characters - so much so we often feel that actor actually is like their character in real life.

Went to the local Lidl this morning - fancied a price reduced turkey to stick in the freezer.

There they were - less than €5 too. Had it in my trolley when I realised those turkeys were frozen ones before Xmas, now defrosted and put on sale in the chiller cabinet.

Presume refreezing a thawed turkey is not recommended.

Nope not so good to refreeze but if you cook up said turkey you can then freeze the cooked meat and use as and when you need. Ideal for quicker curry/casserole/stew/soup/cassoulet/tagine option later down the line (or anything else).

I had no ill effects of this years flu jab when I had it back in September, normally the arm aches for a while but nothing at all this year, was my 15th year and some have not agreed with me at all to say the least!
