Very much looking forward to my trip to NYC in August! I do get a bit tired of 'big cities' so glad I'm only there for 4 days before heading south to get thoroughly burnt in Florida for the 4th year running.

Never been to the states, both myself and the missus are not good flyers after a horror flight years back, but I did offer to take her for her 30th the other year and she declined, I am now slowly working on her to possibly try Japan!

Will be heading out to Connecticut around April/May time for work. Should be able to fit in a weekend in NYC either side of that.

I quite liked New York, which surprised me given I thought I'd hate it . Manhattan is fairly small and we didn't do too much outside it as we weren't there that long

Los Angeles on the other hand... no

Had exactly the same ideas,  went on a Canada/ Niagara/NY fortnight  only because I wanted to see the Falls and visit Canada,   NY just came with it,   Fucking loved it,  You can keep Canada (well, Toronto,  Montreal side),  couldn't wait to get back which I did a couple of years ago,  amazing place,  amazing people,  they absolutely love the brits, nothing seemed too much trouble for them.  Would go back again tomorrow given the chance.  Oh, wait a minute,  maybe Sunday,  we've got a match tomorrow ...........

Toronto is great. Though may be a bit biased as Mrs B has family around there

Totally agree on LA. Absolute dive. California is lovely though.

I don't understand how every thread is derailed. It does mildly annoy me!
