Pleasingly the RNLI have reported a definite spike upwards in donations since the (non) story was run!

Good.

More money for the brown children. That'll piss off the bigots.

Asked a builder that's quoted me for a driveway & car port job if he had an examples of previous work. He's just sent me a load of photos which have been ripped from Google.

Idiots on social media completely missing the point about today's climate strike by the youths of the nation. Saying things like "why don't they do it on a Saturday" etc.  Crash Doh

It's almost time for the annual Swindon Half meltdown! Can't wait for the "My hubby couldn't get to work" posts.

I don't know if it's been posted already but the treatment of the RNLI by the Daily Mail.
This has lead to many idiots, influenced by said media outlet, to withdraw donations.

You can historically support Nazi's but don't you dare think about using funds to save peoples lives in an international capacity. Hardly surprising, bunch of tossers.

The RNLI's response was class though.

I’ve just received a cheque which was sent to my old address and is days away from being 6 months old. If presented to my bank will they cash it?

Who do you bank with?

My online banking facility app on my phone (I'm with Halifax) allows me to take a photo of the front and the back of the cheque to save me having to faff about with branches etc. I would imagine this is the norm these days?

Nationwide. Being in Greece makes it impossible for me to bank it myself, but my son is going to UK on Tuesday and can pay it in for me - albeit over the 6 months limit. Hence my question.
