Flying to Florida tomorrow and the forecast weather is rain and thunderstorms for like a week straight. Joy! At least it'll be raining here as well.

Today's Real Feel temp here is 44C - my wife and daughter have been moaning about the current temps, I've been enjoying a few jars on the balcony.  It does make mowing the lawn a challenge though -the challenge being to avoid heat exhaustion before you finish cutting it.

Must be a lot easier with the seated mower?
I can't picture anyone in America walking and mowing at the same time.  Smiley

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

My mum lives in Florida and used to live in quite a nice area/cul de sac with shared pool etc. Almost all of the lazy bastards spin around the place on golf buggies.

Not only do I walk and mow, I have an electric - which made my neighbour come over for a discussion about the pro's and con's.

Tails - Florida will be humid but the actual stormy bit is usually around 3pm-5pm and you can stand out in shorts still.  This time of year it's practically every day on repeat - hot, humid, clouds build, torrential downpour, stuffy and hot overnight.  I think the weather sites list the Thunderstorms once the chance of one happening is above 20-30% at any time in the day.

I feel your pain, we have had to paint every piece of gloss work in the bloody house in the last 56 months, just one plain door and one glazed one to do.

Had 6 new doors put in upstairs so they needed 2 coats each plus the frames. Slow and tedious job. How anyone could do that for a living day after day is beyond me

That's a very long and precise gloss-painting period you're going through.

Its 6 months actually although the house renovations took 36 months!
