Cuff Links? Fucking cuff links?
How about a cravat and salmon pink slacks.

Developing the minor gripe further, I am not sure why adults over the age of, say, 40 feel the need to wear replica shirts anywhere. A nice club branded polo shirt or tie and cufflinks combination offers a more age appropriate way to show your allegiance to your chosen club.
Are you Alan Partridge?

Club tie and cufflinks are never ok unless you're the actual chairman or ancient ex player. Personal preference - football shirts are for playing football in, nothing else. They're really uncomfortable, especially in the heat. I am partial to a retro one on a match day though.

They are currently de rigueur in Majorca, despite the heat.

I went there a few years after you. Stayed on the coast near Serekunda. Incredible place...although I'll bet it's very different now.
Went with a mate for a few laughs but ended up enthralled by the culture, colour and nature - and was humbled by the insight and conciliation shown by our young "street guide" on the Gambia's slavetrade history. Inexplicably forgot to pack a club tie and cufflinks as recommended.

I wonder why people would wear shirts that cope well with body heat and sweat in a hot country?

Yeah, there's people getting knocked back from bars all over Majorca for not wearing the correct tie and cufflinks combo

What year was it that we had that shirt that did not cope well with sweat and just soaked it up and became very heavy!

Off to our annual welsh trip on Wednesday, and the weather looks awful for the weekend.

Only 2 weeks ago it was too hot in the office, now its too cold. Stop moaning and get on with it.

TBF there are biological differnces between men and women, that mean they perceive external temperature in different ways... basically women are hotter then men to start with. With that in mind and considering myself a gentleman, I'd always think it should be us men that "get on with it" but I'm old fashioned.

Today's Real Feel temp here is 44C - my wife and daughter have been moaning about the current temps, I've been enjoying a few jars on the balcony. It does make mowing the lawn a challenge though -the challenge being to avoid heat exhaustion before you finish cutting it.
