FB is what you make of it. I've largely 'sanitised' my page by unfollowing/blocking certain people. That's one of its stronger points for me.

Now I just get to make the most of the good stuff, and social media can be superb at times.

FB is one big toxic cesspit of attention-seeking nonsense and bunch of idiots spouting deliberately inflammatory opinions. Any function it has that was once useful (photo sharing, events, keeping up with old friends) can now be replicated with other products without the bullshit.

There's literally no point in being on FB.

I took this stance in 2018, and I have got way more out of my life since taking that decision. Its very easy to waste hours on end on social media. I use twitter a fair amount, but that is mainly as its the quickest way to keep up with news from STFC.

People that crave Facebook attention and being told how wonderful they are by the same few saddos daily, yet in reality they are selfish cunts who in life offer fuck all no nobody.
Actions speak louder than words. Especially empty Facebook ones.

Maybe don't worry too much about what other, attention-seeking, people get up to on there and control your news feed/connected friends more. For anyone that I have not actually been friends with, I deleted our 'friendship'. For people who are nice but annoying/attention seeking on FB, I've muted them so don't see their dross.

This is exactly as I am on FB. Its far more controllable now than ever before, I keep on who and what I want to see, nothing more.

Mine was 3 weeks with my brand new car and some old fucker reversed into me, luckily I managed to pop my bumper back out from having a 6 inch indentation with few marks left over.

I pranged mine into a wall after just a week of having it. It was all my own fault though, wasn't paying attention.

But did you mute other road users? That would be sweet.

The latest mass shooting in the States - the 246th this year! Mind boggling, that.

On a social media theme - I use twitter a lot for work stuff (incredible amount of teaching stuff on twitter) and I've reached the conclusion now that all American teachers have to be muted. They're so preachy. Evangelical.

American.
