And yet he hasn't exposed a single one. Although his actions in the contempt of court case did risk allowing a dozen or so to walk free.

You know that, I know that sadly the fuckwit groomed right wing conspiracy theorists are too fucking wrapped up in the cult of waxy-lemon to see it!

Increasingly, people think they can pick and choose "truth" and just select the "facts" that best suits their pre-existing prejudices. It's as much a phenomenon of the left as the right, hence the Cult of St Jeremy on one side, Farage et al on the other.

And the worrying thing is, this kind of "pick and choose your own truth" ignorance is spreading. And it kills:

Not really, seeing as the girl who died was vaccinated but immuno compromised.

#grumpyoldman

In all seriousness don't let it get to you. I realised (or in fact the wife pointed out to me) back end of last year that I had become an incredibly grumpy bastard who was letting silly things get to me and was by extension becoming pretty hard to live with.

I denied it at first but agreed to make more of an effort to be sanguine about things that directkly affected be and try and ignore things that were a nonsense that I could do nothing about and 10 months on I am so much happier, she is so much happier and generally life is 100x sweeter than it was when I was caught up in myself!

Whilst this isn't pleasant, and isn't necessarily what was meant by Red Frog, isn't that exactly how natural selection works? The weakest (e.g. the immuno compromised) are wiped out. Of course, that's a difficult and sad truth, and especially tragic when this loss - like others in this vein - was caused by the negligence of others.

It reminds me of somebody asking once what we used to do before we had vaccines. (This person was trying to be clever).

This answer, of course, is that we died. Lots and lots of people died.

Anti-vaxxers are fucking dangerous. To other people and to their own kids.

That's the worst thing about them. Their ignorance imperils others rather than themselves. Let's not forget the role of the Mail and the Express in promoting the early anti-vaxxers in this country via their support for the fraudulent researcher Andrew Wakefield. Ignorance kills, but it doesn't half bump up the profit column

And along similar lines, one of the original conspiracy theorists:

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2019/jul/10/one-giant-lie-why-so-many-people-still-think-the-moon-landings-were-faked

The forerunner of Alex Jones and his ilk of the execrable InfoWars, driving so much of the far right in the US (and increasingly over here).

Didn't stop Wakefield getting shacked up with Elle Macpherson.

Honestly think they should be prosecuted for (a form of) child abuse.

In Italy the kids aren't allowed to go to school unless they've been vaccinated. Australia witholds child benefit payments.

I'd confiscate their bollocks until they can prove they can use them responsibly
