Quote
Rule 236
You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 226) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.

Stuck in traffic in a built up area, where visibility is fine. 100m is the guide, not 1 mile. FFS! Winds me up every time.

Plus the amount of tools who still drive with no lights at all. Had a Merc pass me this morning which had the pretty fairy lights on the front but nothing on at the rear.

Not helped by the fact many cars use their normal lights for daytime running lights, so they can see the road but the rears are off.

No lights is a massive hate of mine, I’ve said before that it shows how little attention people pay to their speed. Reason being, if their lights are off, the dash is also in darkness (for most cars) and they’d then notice they have no lights on when they can’t see their speed.

I think most modern cars dash light up now though, at least my Toyota did and Skoda do.

But I digress. In no way is it an excuse but auto lights can catch you out.

The Toyota was a simple light sensor, which works fine except in poor viability like daylight fog where light isn't much of an issue .  it could turn off the lights and you not realise.

The skoda is more intelligent in that it leaves the lights on longer if the is even a hint of a cloud within 10 miles. But surprisingly the isn't a dash light for 'dipped on'. It's on the switch which is obscured a bit from clear view.

anyway, morale: in fog use manual mode for lights

Thing is, and I am happy to be proven wrong here, if she is a British citizen I am not sure how much we can actually do to stop her coming back, although undoubtedly she will be nicked at the airport/Dover anyway. Then I suppose we get into various discussions regarding who we hold extradition treaties with and what they may want to charge her with.

What has been as ridiculous has been the right wingers clutching at their pearls about all this.

Maybe I should have said returning without consequences.

She’s been told she’ll get no diplomatic support. If she can get to the UK under her own steam, fair enough. Nick her at the point of entry.

I can’t see how anyone could support her return without consequences.

Have you found anyone who is supporting her return (with or without consequences)?

Her dad.

A few bleeding hearts who say she was young and groomed on the internet. Not her fault, bless her.

Bring them to Akrotiri and then put all of them and the returning jihadists on a C130 halfway across the med open the cargo door and climb, fcuking steeply ontil the cargo bay is empty.
