My wife is northern, and she'd struggle to get near  £12.50 Smiley

Even with short date code food discounts that would be remarkable. Where the bloody hell do you shop bamboo?

Lidl mostly. The best part was I think only two of those items were reduced. Even then we're only talking about £1-2 saved so would easily be under £15.

...and Blue Passports.  Smiley

Had the little red driving licence book been promised, I'd have gone Brexit.

They were quality, but then early 70's austerity saw them replaced with the paper thing in the environmentally unsound plastic case.  Then the EU card.

So not too far out, and if you could say get the meat from the on use by date stack, perhaps doable....especially in the north.

Nope. Only about two of the items were reduced and the meat was the price it usually is. Think I had the pork steaks knocked down by about 30p. Just taking one's time and making sure you get as much VFM. Nothing to do with being in the North (I'm Midlands anyhoo) as it was Lidl and I'm pretty sure their pricing structure is nationwide.

In fairness, I could've easily spent 3x as much in the same store for a similar amount of produce or for example my mate went to Sainsbury's and bought;

4 x Lean Turkey Mini Fillets
3 x Peppers
1kg Potatoes
1kg Onions
4pts Milk
4 x Spicy Bean Burgers
4 x Pink Lady Apples
9 x Cushelle Bog Rolls

Around half the items and it cost around £17. He'll get probably 5 mains, 4 snacks (apples) and have some potato and onion rolling about. On the plus side, he'll be able to wipe his arse for about 2 weeks. Nay bother!

You will need the bum fodder if you're scoffing all those onions and spicy bean burgers.

You would have done well during WW2.

I've got about 10-20 of those, most hidden away in my pits. Never thought of removing them, is it just for aesthetics?

I had one cut off recently, it was a tad larger than your standard skin tag though.

Me too, in the weirdest of places, my arm pit, neck, knee pit, one in the groin, one behind the ear and one on the eye lid. They do annoy.

The one behind my ear is about 5mm round and annoys me the most of them all.

Told the Mrs that even if it stops snowing it wouldn't melt. She told me that "it might". Of course, she is correct, if there was a mini 'heat' wave that isn't forecast.

I then had to proceed with explaining how freezing point and temperature worked.
