Imagine being in a car crash, being shook up already, going to check on the other vehicle and finding the Duke of sodding Edinburgh in the driver's seat. You'd imagine you were pretty fucking severely concussed, wouldn't you?

I know everyone ages differently, but at 97, its pretty obvious your body and mind are gone.
I think a lot of us have got there before 97.

There should be a requirement to retake your driving at say 70 and set intervals after that.

It’s just common sense

Not really bothered about "Phill the greek"
What annoys me is the lack of concern for the commoners that he(alledgedly)(spolling) pulled out in front of.
I am seriously thinking of writing a letter to the Adver forthwith.
Or should that be. henceforth ?

Went around a few dealerships in Swindon looking for a new/ish car. Most were decent but Allen Ford, fuck me unbelievably shit. Loved the new fiesta but no fucking chance buying from them. Fish Bros Seat were excellent.

What rather got on my tits is that whilst I am all happy and that that Filllip is OK, the crash put the two other people in hospital with injuries and that's been barely reported!

The way the BBC are dragging out this total nonstory im fully expecting them to be live at the scene when Phils car gets crushed at the scrapyard!

The mrs getting scammed over the weekend. She received a text message from 'someone' she works with asking for phone credit. It turns out it wasn't her friend at all.Very clever.

Luckily she bought the credit with paypal, so they are going to refund her.

A lot of text scams going around apparently. People saying they have a new phone, and asking for contact details. Some of it could actually be genuine though.

What I don't understand is how the 'phone top up scam' actually works. How do you benefit from top ups? You can't withdraw the cash?

Did she purchase the credit from a known website, or from a link in the text?

did she text the person back and is she sure the text wasn't to a premium rate service?

It was probably not phone credit she was paying for, but rather sending money straight to somebody's bank account.

I agree,

even a requirement to have some simple tests such as sight, hearing and reaction tests.

Lets face it, anyone who has been driving for a significant period if time would struggle on a full driving test. I know i would. Too many bad habbits.  :-)

You already have to do that at 70 and then every 3 years.
