radio stations simply blank out the word nigger.

it's supposed to be  derogatory, that's the point

You don't need to tell me that. I know the the message the song is trying/tried to portray. However, they have blanked it out for a while now. If need be, it would be easier and less noticeable if they edited it and just replaced with a similar sounding word (that is also relevant). Vigour, rigger and figure are three that come straight off the top of the head. In an ideal world I would play the track as is but alas unless people were educated on the dynamic meaning of every track then... yeah I'll stop Smiley

Should the big story here not be that the League Against Cruel Sports invested pension funds in firms involved in animal testing, which they don't really seem to be denying?

The BBC suggesting on the news this morning that Tyson Fury 'who has overcome a doping ban'

Not totally sure 'overcome' is appropriate...he tested positive for steroids. It's shown that steroid use can give you life long gains. His opponents have to overcome that issue.

Oh and the suggestion that he is now some sort of candidate for SPOTY - has our year been that bad in sport?

The fuss being made about Klopp running on to the pitch when a player scored an injury time winner.
We all know he's not the first.

็Had a lump cut from the front of my face earlier (no, it wasn't my nose. Hur hur) under local anaesthetic. The pain wasn't that bad but it still hasn't exactly been a pleasant start to the week. Now feeling about 1 gram and 6000 baht lighter.

Lewis Hamilton will win anyway. 5 time F1 Champion won't be dismissed.

its Sports Personality of the YEAR though, so what hes won in previous years should not be considered in the voting.

I forgot to add the fact that hes a grade a prat as well.

We could vote for Lewis again but then the program makers could decided we didn't know what we were voting for and ignore it.

Yes and in that year he has reached the benchmark of attaining his 5th title. Also within that environment, he hasn't had the fastest/best car. Vettel hasn't performed as well as he should and Verstappen still shows his inexperience. 5th title or not, he's raced impeccably but we can't ignore that he has achievement a significant benchmark Smiley

I am by no means a fan, but that's a tad unfair when you see the crashes these guys have when they do make a mistake.  It's easy to say the best car wins, and it usually does, but the drivers are on a knife edge, and for that I can appreciate their skill.  Having driven just an AMG at 150 miles an hour around a track once, with a dual control car and someone telling me where to break and what line to take, it's nerve wracking stuff.

Probably give it to the guy who won the French cycling thingy though.

I don't doubt the skill involved and the speed etc, I haven't been interested in it for years though. Prefer to watch touring cars.

That's what i was thinking...here's their response in full https://www.league.org.uk/news/employment-tribunal-regarding-ethical-veganism-league-statement

"Staff at the League have always had the choice of joining an ethical pension scheme, but in 2015 the guidelines around pensions changed so we weren’t legally able to offer this scheme as an automatic enrolment"
