I spend a bit of time in marketing circles and it’s commonly believed that this is intentional “accidental” racism, as these things generally get A LOT of publicity for free. I don’t care about all this snowflake bullshit, this is meant to be noticed as racism, push buttons on both sides of the argument and generate outrage. That in itself is disgusting in my opinion. Edit: which is pretty much what the article, or the twitter comments within it, say.

Quite. What's the saying "No publicity is bad publicity" Nestlé have made similar intentional degradation claims, with respect to human rights (CEO and the rights of water) specifically Brabeck stated "...That means that as a human being you should have a right to water. That’s an extreme solution..." Of course it caused outrage yet for 2017, Nestlé Waters sales were just shy of 8bn CHF (c£5.9bn) and Nestlé Nutrition sales were over 10.3bn CHF (c£7.6bn). Both up on 2016 sales. It doesn't look like people have stopped buying Buxton or Perrier Water and KitKats too much.

Haha yeah it' not often an entrepreneur call their product crap. To be fair, Brabeck wasn't demeaning his product, just humanity. The complete prick

I find the "let's concoct an absurd angle by which this perfectly inoffensive comment/article/advert can be deemed sexist or racist" brigade utterly infuriating and pathetic. Mainly pathetic.
That advert does not qualify. It is appalling. The people who created it and screened it are a disgrace.

And they need a much snappier name for their brigade too, that doesn't even abbreviate well.

I guess it depends on whether it was just in his window, or whether he put it there after a black family moved in over the road, etc, etc.

Surely that's self policing - generally something stops working....that's when you get to use smug face.

There are only so many times one can read 'turn if off and then back on again'....
