TBF if it's anything like my lads' club, we're still chasing way too many people for fees in March. And most of that is around excuses, some genuine, some clearly bullshit around payment by standing orders etc. Can well understand why some clubs just say "fuck it" and ask for it all up front. Like you say, not fair on those parents who do pay up promptly and regularly, but there's a disgusting amount of parents who are more than happy to take a free ride on the back of the good ones. And, let's not forget, a huge amount of time and effort given for free by volunteers wasted chasing all this up
Did i see you last week watch the academy against in the community over Lydiard

i get that, it happens at all clubs (non payments).
The managers should be more supportive to the club by not playing those in arrears. too interested in putting their best team out.
Completely agree. I'm lucky enough such that the cost up front is not an issue. there are those that £160 up front just before summer holidays is off-putting, and if it's anything like school good will be too embarrassed to ask for help.
TBF, you're either going to be asking for it just before summer holidays which isn't ideal, or just after and coinciding with start of new school year which is also always expensive.

This doesn't mildly annoy me but infuriates me.
Todays society and mobile phones. Too much usage in my opinion. Take yesterday at Westminster for example, people taking photo's instead of trying to help. People taking selfies infront of a crime scene.
It's a sad state of affairs when people have to do this.

Once the emergency services are on the scene, the last thing they want is "help" from well-meaning bystanders unless they've genuinely got specialist skills that can help (e.g. the MP who tried to help the copper). Even if bystanders are there before paramedics, once you've got more than a couple of people "helping", they're more likely to be causing a problem than rendering any genuine aid. Agree that selfies are distasteful, but police were appealing yesterday for the public to send in photos/videos of the scenes of crime as they can be useful evidence.

To be fair, if I was there, I would be fucking useless. I can offer someone a jacket or try and put someone in the recovery position but I can't administer any life saving support of any kind at all. Also, if I have pictures or videos at the time then that could potentially be used to prosecute. Not saying I agree with selfies at a crime scene but if someone did have some useful video footage... It's not a bad thing.

The point is how many people are willing to help nowadays? You probably find less and less offer any sort of assistance. The phone thing is a bug bear, not just yesterday. For example, at football matches. Whats the point of filming the game on your phone?! Grrr.

All the photos I saw from Westminster bridge prior to arrival of emergency services showed members of the public helping, or at least apparently trying to. The video shot by the visiting lecturer from a taxi showed people rushing to help. I think you're tilting at windmills tbh
