Tesco direct and ArrowXL.

Ordered a sofa bed. Delivered without legs. Rang up to order and they said they would have to send a brand new sofa. Delivered, but arrow Xl wouldn't take the 'new' one away. I only wanted the legs!!

Supposed to come and collect today, but no record of 'order' placed by Tesco. Tesco told me it would be today.

So to have a sofa bed delivered in full I have had to have three days off work. I still have two beds...

This reminds me

We had a new kitchen fitted probably about 2 years ago now by Tesco Kitchens. Since that time, one of the cabinets has fallen off the wall as it not fitted correctly and the oven consistently turns itself off when it gets hotter than about 200 degrees.

There was a 10 year guarantee but they went out of business and so its effectively useless -

Have you called them as the notice on the website suggests?

I'd say 'Tesco' has not gone out of business so it is their responsibility I'd be contacting their HQ

True, but the nurse though it acceptable to dry shave me.

I don't think the flimsy NHS budget being spent on Nivea for men would go down too well with the public

I read that as pubic.

Which is what it should have said.

No, I just didn't realise that NHS shavings had cut so deep.

They have trimmed the budget.

I'm not taking responsibility for this.

Checking the delivery time on a piece of furniture online and seeing "2 weeks".  Going into the store on the same day (to see it in the flesh) and, on deciding to buy, being told it'll be "5 weeks"! On mentioning the discrepancy to the salesman, being told "sorry, but it's the same computer record".   Huh?

There's a birthday at the pub near my house and someone just came out and puked in my garden already. They were all about mid 30s too. Never ceases to amaze me.

Got a bit of a promotion at work the other day, which is essentially me doing the same job but with ‘Senior’ added to my job title and a small pay rise attached. Great news – until reading through the new contract which had been drawn up which still referred to my old job title, thus rendering the new contract absolutely pointless. At least the pay rise will be backdated to 1st January when the HR department finally get the contract right.
