Except, Robert, as I understand it, there are no trains scheduled to run from Swindon on that particular day.
We should also factor in the cost, which is becoming increasingly prohibitive. Even in 1969, my ticket for one of the "better" seats cost me an alarming 46 shillings (£2-30). Fucking rip-off. For that I can only blame the Tories, can't I Harold (Reg) Wilson.
My key words were "on paper". Everyone will get caught up in the fact we are at Wembley, think it's just up the road and worry about transport later. It's never as easy getting there as it should be. In my case it's sometimes quite hard to get away from the place as well, spent 2 hours asleep going between Wembley Central and Baker St once. |

For me the new Wembley is best summed up by the fact that some (many) of the gents toilets are cubicle only. What non-football clueless fuckwit thought of that bright idea? (And no I didn't go in the 'wrong ones'  ) |

I like the new Wembley. Structurally it's a cracking stadium, once you are in your seat it's quite a good experience. Given that everything else is crap, the surrounding area is not pretty and most of the people sat around you are a pain in the arse. It gets the thumbs up from me |
