We’ve been in lockdown since 7 November. Start relaxation today with retail stores opening but limited numbers depending on the square footage of the store.

9pm to 5am curfew still in place, no tavernas, cafes or bars open. Masks mandatory outside the home.

And this on an island that has no cases since before Xmas and only 70 in total with no fatalities.

I think this is one of those aspects that is left to "good old British common sense". Probably quite reasonably tbf. I think if I drove to Lydiard Park to exercise I could reasonably claim that was in my local area; if I drove to Newbury, probably less so

The two facts may not be unrelated

The regulations only say that "you should not travel outside your local area" to exercise. They don't say how you should get there. There is no prohibition on driving to somewhere to take exercise.

Tinnitus.
Tell me about it! I have had it bad since I had my ears damaged at a gig in 1990, its awful, I now wear hearing aids in both ears because of it and use a noise machien to sleep at night, which does help.

It's getting gradually worse for me.

I forget about it most of the time, but other times it just won't go away and it's getting slightly louder each month. Still bearable - but unpleasant. It makes me feel quite nauseous at time.

Play music or have a radio on during the day, even on low as it distracts the mind, get a noise machine for bed as you notice it way more when its dead quiet, that distracts the brain, you get used to it quickly, I have used one now for 30 years, it does help.

The hearing aids help to a point but they don't remove it all by any means.

Saw one of the lads at work using power tools without ear defenders during a site visit last year. Hopefully he took on board what I told him.

Tinnitus.

Yep, got it in one ear 24/7 whistle noise. Had it about 18 months and it only bothers me now and then. Bedtime is worst.

I have also had it for many years and only notice it at odd times like currently as TV on mute and my typing this. Had a hearing test at GWH ages ago and found my mid range hearing was not good but does not bother me at the moment so not gone for hearing aids yet.
