I got mildly annoyed earlier that a BBC article started 'An Uighur...' Then I tried to check the correct pronunciation to make sure I was right to be annoyed, and now I don't understand.

It's OK to be wrong. But...

Finding out that you're wrong could mean that whichever bellend you are arguing with was right. Now THAT'S annoying.

Under such circumstances, I tend to just shy away from the debate altogether.
