Trivial in comparison Aud, but the queue in the supermarket this morning. I only wanted a friggin sarnie and there was one till open. After about 10 minutes she called for another till to be opened. No bloody self service tills either. Can't be arsed to go back there again.

Oh, and some US shows where the titles still pop up about ten minutes into the show. Please stop.

Quite surprised to hear that you eat packaged sandwiches. I would have thought you would definitely be the kind of guy that would have the sense to make sure you have all the ingredients at home to make sandwiches so as to avoid the inconvenience which you have described.

I had a summer job in a sandwich factory in the 90s. That put me off eating packaged sandwiches. Of course, production processes may have changed since then.

We tend to get home deliveries from various supermarkets as the missus tends to mix it up a bit, now Asda, Tesco and Morrisons can find us just fine. Every time we get Sainsbury's we get a phone call from the wrong sodding village suggesting they cannot find us!

In their defence there is a Sunderland in Cumbria, thankfully not populated by Mackems!

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pale of water.

What kind of muppet builds a well on top of a hill? You'd have to dig down even further to reach the water table.

No idea about the Hill, but given Nursery Rhyme's are often pretty satirical, I'm not sure you need to consider it being a real well or collecting real water, or even a hill.  Hope that helps, especially as this one has a right old variety of possible origins.

Humpty is a Cannon, not an egg, I think.  I'm spoiling this, I can tell.
