And completely misses the point that it was the bigotry and prejudice of Little Englanders like Fawlty and the Major that were the butt of the joke. Some stupid decisions being made around this at the moment. |

Having read a bit further, it was edited when it was reshown on BBC, not edited out, but with the words removed or bleeped IIRC, but UKTV just didn't bother showing the edited version. So again this seems to be a bit of a storm in a tea-cup. Like the Mail reporting Inbetweeners had been removed for being offensive, but it was actually for licensing reasons. Although that's just more of an outright lie, as one would expect from the Mail |
