Was going to say similar. Having a strong accent has it's pitfalls. If they'd just cast him as a scouse copper/detective (I assume that's his role), or even said he was from Rhyl. We wouldn't be making too much fuss. He's a great actor though. I put him in the David Morrissey mould of English talent. So much of it comes out of the North West too.
Very good points all round. Have you been drinking? Wink

As he was playing a real person would be difficult to change their origin?

I stopped listening about 8 months back when it became clear that Emma and Ed was going to go tits up, just illustrating the key writing theme of the Archers that no one bar the wealthy is ever allowed to be happy!

What's been going down at Grey Gables?

While I'll agree that it would be difficult but I'll also counter and say that adaptations happen all the time in film/tv/theatre/etc, and that includes stories based on fact. It's easier to adapt in fictional works, admittedly because there are no facts to interpret (to a degree). I'm sure even on White House Farm there are changes that didn't happen in real life.

Most people watching would not have known that one of the detectives, in an Essex based case, was a Welshman. If they later received complaints, they could easily have said it was due to privacy/anonymity reasons. Yet I doubt there would've been as many as it currently received.

Daft question alert.

I have a credit card with no outstanding balance. Because of this darned virus I have had to cancel flights, car hire and accommodation. I paid for these with said credit card and the refunds will give me a plus balance on my credit card.

Can I transfer this surplus off my credit card into my debit account? Looking at my online banking app it isn’t possible. Presumably nobody normally has a surplus on their credit card.

I have had a surplus recently by over paying my S/O from my bank account after clearing a balance. I rang the CCC up and bought it to their attention and they credited it back to my bank account within a couple of days.
