No need to worry.... this is the sort of worker's rights legislation that the present Government wants to repeal.

While I agree there are also quite a few people who will purposely tell people "You need a good steak/lamb chop/gammon joint mate." Then get all shouty and proclaim to everyone in the restaurant "I'm having the 64oz steak, lamb cutlets, 12 eggs and black pudding....cos I'm a man!"

No, you're just a very loud wanker, who likely beats his wife if the tea isn't on the table at exactly 5.35pm every evening and then publicly tells everyone "she never speaks up, don't know why". Also probably is bigoted to the degree that their intrigue in homophobia gives them sleepless nights, along with a very big gout problem. More tea vicar?

Sorry Darlo, was just offering some "balance".

No need to apologise, I wasn't suggesting that that doesn't happen.. it was just an example.

Anyone trying to inflict their opinion on anything trivial on someone else is in the wrong, in my opinion. Conversely, you see those 'because I'm a man' sorts going for a curry (or even a Nando's) and ordering the hottest thing on the menu to prove some kind of unfounded masculinity. If you like that kind of heat then fine, go for it.. but don't order it and spend the whole time you're eating it crying and wishing you were dead.

The Iranians are out in numbers protesting against this. The Iranian government is going to be a lot of pressure to retaliate.

Absolutely. Seen it first hand. Spend the rest of the night popping Omeprazole because a peeling stomach lining is worth every ounce of pride and masculinity that ever existed. But yeah it goes both/all ways too Smiley

Putting the vegan steak bake issue aside, Greg’s stuff is only marginally better than KFC, Mc Donald’s etc. Give me a small family owned bakery offering any day.

It's the "Butcher" from League of Gentleman. Gives all his regular oldies "extra" cuts.

The "local" reference is League of Gentleman folklore from character Tubbs; an insular, incestuous local of Royston Vasey. Common catchphrases on the show were "This is a local pub for local people" and "we didn't burn him."

If you've seen Psychoville and Inside No.9 then you'll understand the style of LoG. All three are from the minds of Shearsmith & Pemberton.

Errr no. Sorry I’m sure it is funny? But not something I have watched. Thanks all the same though.

Being out of town when the third kit goes on sale... was gutted enough to miss out on the match today. Ugh!

Not always funny but twisted and dark.

I like Dark Humour, it is peculiarly a British thing, gallows humour I believe it is called.
