I don't remember what they were called but, looking on Google images, the first one could well have been The Globe. The one with the unfriendly barman was some wanky wine-bar type place.
That’ll be the place actually called The Wine Bar - in the door and straight down the stairs. Next to the Saracens Head and close to the King and Queen.

After living in Highworth for years I’ve only just found out the the Goldfinger Tavern was owned by Ian Fleming’s widow.

A scene in The World is Not Enough was filmed at the old Motorola building
A scene from A View to a Kill was filmed at the old Renault building
Already mentioned Daniel Craig’s middle name & the Goldfinger pub.
Flemings grave is in Sevenhampton.

Yep.... without consulting google, in the pub a lot will get the buildings and some Sevenhampton, not many get Craig.

I tried a bit of research to see if Craig had an obvious connection to Wrougton but could find none

Daniel Craig's middle name of Wroughton was from his great-great-grandmother Grace Matilda Wroughton.

My Dad has just been discharged from hospital. Without a care plan and without transport. He needs both. He is a registered mental health patient and suffers with lifelong clinical anxiety and depression.

He hasn't been in hospital relating to those reasons but a physical operation. However, his mental health should have been taken into account. How they expect a 60yrs+, essentially vulnerable adult, who gets confused very easily, to make it home 40miles with no transport is beyond common sense.

I say this with consideration that I don't post much common sense on here at times. What annoys me more is that the NHS and all associated services have been fucking fantastic up to this point. Ughhh!
