I reckon that in lots of shared and public toilets once you've washed your hands, then (maybe) touched the tap to turn it off and gripped the door handle, you've probably negated the hand washing by gaining loads of other people's pissy and shitty germs.
Toilets with a door handle you have to touch should be eliminated. Very few places have them but some fit metal parts to the bottom of the door that you can use your foot to easily open instead.
