Very much my biggest bugbear. What is so important that you have to be walking along with your phone in your hand constantly? The amount of people who just don't pay any attention at all because they are texting, checking facebook or whatever is growing.
Exactly. In this woman's case, she was literally risking her life because twitter was more important, damn lucky it was a cyclist not a car. But instead of thanking her lucky stars she has the cheek to sue the guy on the bike for an accident she caused. Bonkers

The whole case sets a terrifying precedent for just about everyone as you could easily replace cyclist with driver! The Torygraph story is a bit misleading as the £100k figure is what her lawyers were seeking to cover their costs although the liability was initially noted as being £10,000 by the judge plus about £7,000 to cover the cyclists own legal fees. This is the very reason why I have 3rd party insurance when cycling as self awareness seems to have entirely vanished in this country, setting aside anything else I would be ashamed to make the claim she has made. Anyway crowdfunder is here if anyone is so inclined https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-cover-rob-hazeldean039s-legal-fees

I once hit a kid on my bike on my way to work after he ran out right in front of me.
I got the blame.
I was on a cycle path.

Had my first experience with an IMH GP surgery today
Previously, when it was all in house, you could easily get an appointment on the day - in fact, unless it was testing/jabs kinda stuff you could only get an appointment on the day (which did admittedly involve long waits on the phone at 8am)
Now it’s the same old wait time, but filled with passive aggressive pre-recorded statements about how you shouldn’t use the doctors - and the earliest appointment I can get is next Tuesday. Lovely

Tuesday? Tuesday? Try Sparcells surgery, four weeks for a general appointment. Unless you’re dying, in which case you need 999 you have to get vetted by the receptionist and put on triage for a same day, if you’re lucky.

The boy was sick once yesterday after school. He is absolutely fine, but now off school til Thursday. Both of us work, so a real pain. It’s understandable them being off, but frustrating for the parents.

£50 notes. You try and pay for something and you turn into a criminal. Refused, not accepted unless manager is nearby or a 2 person verification.
Don't see them check £20s ever
