Boxing stuff up ready for the move and finding boxes full of stuff unopened from when we moved in here!

The crap being thrown out or off to the charity shop is mind boggling. What a wasteful society we are.

I'd hazard a guess we offloaded well over 3/4 of the stuff we owned when we moved out of the country.  A lot of that was because we found it cheaper to just buy new than move it, but boxes and bags of stuff were simply dust gatherers.

The buyers are taking some stuff but it's clothes and stuff that's accumulated. The only thing left to get rid of that we don't want to just chuck is a new king size divan bed base

I cleared a load of stuff from our garage at the weekend that had lain undisturbed since we dumped it there when we moved in. 20 years ago. FFS

We do now-  the garage is made the right size for cars and not made for horse and cart usage of the 1880's.

I don't think America has history dating back to 1880 does it?

No, hence why certain new housing schemes I have worked on now have a Condition that the garages cannot have doors so people cannot fill them with crap whilst leaving the car on the road.

Surely if a garage has no doors you have no alternative but to park on the road ?.
