Well, I’ve seen a place in Kefalonia up for 160000 and was thinking of offering 145000. That’s about 10% - too much?

Price in EUR or GBP? Anyhow it'll likely be a very nice bit of real estate at that price over there. EUR 145k is very reasonable. They'll have a lower estimate in mind and everyone loves bartering except the English (generally), wouldn't surprise me if they said 150 and it's yours.

I think you'll need to ask somebody familiar with the Greek market. The mechanics are likely to be a tad different than here.

Have you tried looking for Greek expat forums to ask these questions on?

Done all that. But you’re right, the market there seems unconnected. The people selling are Brits and as there seems to be not much house inflation it’s difficult to know what’s value for money and what’s not.

Can't you just rent a place for a while first so you can get a feel of the market while you're over there?

No idea what the market is like in Greece, but my old man cannot shift their place near Carcassonne as the market was being unnaturally propped up by Brits and after Brexit the arse has just dropped out - basically been told by French agent that they have no hope of selling for the foreseeable, thankfully it's rented to some British people who pay rent in Sterling so not affected by exchange rate issues either.

There’s not much in the way of long term rentals in Kef - understandably it’s pretty much holiday lets.

I think we may have sorted out that house above - my son is over there at the moment and viewed it this morning. We are over next month so hopefully we can sort out a deal. They are willing to deal in Sterling, too.

What’s this bollocks about people wanting Santa to become gender neutral - whatever that is.

The world is really going mad.

Let’s change St Nicholas to St Nicola.

Similar to that comedian booked for some University gig but given a list of subjects he couldn’t joke about. Left him with no material at all.

It didn't. It gave a no-mark Russian comic no-one had ever heard of with a brilliant opportunity to get himself 10s of thousands worth of free advertising just by hitting the "It's PC gone mad" button. Fair play, he milked it for all it's worth. I'll lay odds we never hear of him again for his actual day job.

We’ve scored our last 16 penalties in a row I think, stretching back to 2016. No fuss. Neat and tidy.

Watching that Leicester vs Man City shoutout... Dear God, what a shambles. Has it not occurred to anyone that the best bet might be to run up and strike the ball at pace towards one corner of the net?

Just said this to my mates, the amount of stuttered run ups that lead to a piss poor penalty is crazy.
Just fucking put your foot through it.
