I buy coffee beans from a small independent and drink my coffee at home.

Can’t really see the point of paying £3 for a cup of crap coffee from Starbucks - although when I went to Seattle I did buy a coffee from Starbucks. It wasn’t good.

Haha, I’m a proper coffee snob nob so do that as well. Too Cool

Have a look at https://hasbean.co.uk they literally roast to order.

But presumably Costa is profitable, and messing with the coffee would put that at risk

Prefer Statbucks to Costa myself. So not really bothered.

In all fairness some are ok, I just judge them all on an utterly detestable drive though I try to not use. Makes me want to avoid them like the plague.

Rave coffee in Cirencester do the same thing. Unfortunately the blends are all a bit too mellow for my liking though.

Costa being purchased by Coke.

I care because there’s only really 2 common chains. Costa and Starbucks.

Caffe Nero? That's usually my go to.

The place above have some amazing coffee. You can order it in many forms from green beans to coarse cafetière grinds.

He’s a mackem who goes to South American and attends coffee auctions and what not.

It’s my favourite definitely, but sadly they’re not at motorway services (where I buy most of my coffee), so am restricted to Costa and Starbucks.

Had some really great coffee at Darkroom Espresso on Farringdon road and think they also sell coffee beans.

Costa had 39 branches when it was taken over by Whitbread in c. 1990.  From today I think your Costa enriches new owners Coca Cola.

Stick by the independents whenever possible.

How I managed to whack myself in the ribs on Thursday and not remember when or where. I won’t forget the pain from Thursday evening onwards and the last two nights piss poor sleep. #Don’t cough or sneeze.

Our 5 year old dog has slipped her disc and damaged her spinal cord in quite a severe way. We went down stairs on a saturday morning as usual, and she couldn't stand at all. Both legs lame.

Doesn't look good for her. Waiting to hear from the surgeon on monday to see whether to operate or not.

We have only had her a year, and are absolutely devastated. Really stuck in two minds what to do. We want whats best for her, not just short term but long term as well, but don't know what to do.

Moved into our new place a year ago and built a small pond. Just filled it with water, added a few plants etc - so where have all the water snails come from

Why does the rubbish from a takeaway never fit back in the original carrier bag the food came in?

Ditto.  Never come across anything quite like that.  Good luck.
