Think it's an intellectual reference to Goa being a one time Portuguese colony, surrounded on all sides by The British Empire. It's the Portuguese passport which allows them to come to Britain.... despite never having been part of The Empire. |

Week ago the shower tray waste started leaking, only noticed when a ring appeared on the lounge ceiling below it. So off came the panels and in goes the arm to uncouple the waste pipe from the trap. Easy. Getting the trap out of its embedded recess not so easy. The shower tray now has a stress fracture around the trap where I put so much effort to try and get it out to reseat. So new shower tray and cubicle, and heated towel rail to replace the rad and a new basin and a new toilet and new tiles and new flooring et bloody cetera. So trip to plumbing suppliers easy peasy found what we were looking for just waiting for quote. Right, shower tray and panels down the tip so now to attack the tiles, well not so easy. Fuck they they were stuck with some strong tile adhesive. So much so that i’m Going to have to replace large sections of plasterboard underneath it. Heavy sigh.....

If its any consolation ours was cheap and didn't have access under the tray, so we had to cut a hole in the ceiling and redo that after
