Well if the quote is correct in the BBC's own story, the rozzers were saying nothing of the sort publicly at the time the BBC made their big breaking news proclamation via the apps etc,
tbf, they may have just got in there in front of the Met's press officer but spoken to the coppers on the ground/their own sources and been confident that was how the coppers were treating it even if they'd not gone public with that quite then

Join the club big guy, join the club. I just throw a few spoon or forkfuls down my shirt to start with, delays the inevitable.

Well if the quote is correct in the BBC's own story, the rozzers were saying nothing of the sort at the time the BBC made their big breaking news proclamation via the apps etc, its been updated now as the story as developed, just seems another case of them trying to out sensationalise the Mail etc.

Anyway thankfully no one badly hurt no doubt it will all come out in the wash.
I reckon he didn't like cyclists.

Jury duty, or more specifically my experience of it

Been called in 5 times in the past two years, for five different cases. Not one case has made it to trial. Massive waste of time

You clearly look dodgy...

5 times in two years, that's bad luck in randomness dude. Or do they put you on a special list if you aren't called to be re-called later?

Not been called once yet.

Still never been called and I am not sure any of my close friends or family ever had.

My old man did it years back, some manner of motoring offence, was apparently very obvious the guy was guilty than after about 2 weeks in court it got dropped on a technicality and that was that, two weeks sitting around wasted.

part of me is fascinated, but you could end up on a horrendous trial though couldn't you. I'm sure nobody wants to be on a child case.  I'm not too disappointed I've not been called up

I got called once, didn't get selected on day one, no trial day two, released day three.  It was a good job they didn't select me, the defendant was guilty as sin as far as I was concerned and I hadn't even heard any of the evidence yet.

I haven't got called, my Dad did though in 2004, a murder case which lasted 7 weeks. The whole jury were excused from being called again as it was a horrible case.
