Age is meaningless, your achievements are what make your life. Having grandkids is just one of those I think to a certain extent we all worry about what we should have done by a certain age but worrying stops us living in the moment and actually achieving things. Fuck expectation, fuck "I'm too old for..", as long as your hearts still beating the world is your oyster and we should be grateful we still get the opportunity to experience things like becoming a grandparent or actually seeing the Town win at home. Also, just look back at all the stupid shit you did in your 20s. Do you really want to do *them* again? |

Most of my 20s was spent working to support my family! married at 23 first son at 24, I wish I had abused my 20s much more! The old thing really comes about when you sit down and think...both my grandads were passed away before I ever met them both at an age only abour 10 years older than I am now and then you look and wonder how much time you have. Which with my health problems probably isn't as long as it could or possibly should be, thats when age really hits you, that you have much less time left on this earth than you have spent on it so far. Not maudlin but just a fact of life....also as you get older even though you get up earlier the days seem to fly past like the movie "Click" it seems at times. |

Sorry I wasn't making assumptions or trying to call you a grumpy bastard just trying to cheer you up! Time does fly by..I feel a lot older than I am because of my life situation, but I try to think about what I have achieved rather than what or haven't, or I'd be even more of a miserable cow than I am currently. |
