38 on the first go, although I found that typing George and Joseph causes me problems for some reason.  used to be much quicker when I was a data entry clerk and it is much harder to type when copying than it is to type freehand so to speak.  Once saw a group of data entry clerks in Allied Dunbar and they were insane.  They'd never even glance at the keyboard and had an environmentally controlled room with optimal lighting.

Not that I'm making an excuse, but I use a mechanical keyboard at home which is really comfortable to type with. So, maybe I would be quicker using that!

Are you sure about that? My old dear used to do data entry for Allied Dunbar and it was basically a smoke filled room as everyone had ashtrays on their desks and fags permanently hanging out of their mouths!

That Words & Numbers one was insane, got around 40wpm each time. When I did the words only one I got 73wpm with one mistake on my first attempt.

I used to do data entry but it was mostly numeric which is really easy to pick up. Given that I use spreadsheets all day and often have to copy out stuff from accounts it was a useful skill to learn.

My employer changed the IT equipment at the back end of last year following an office move and gave us smaller keyboards with flat keys as the desk space is smaller than before. Unfortunately the zero on the numeric pad is right under the 2 which is a right pain in the arse. Definitely trivial but definitely annoying.

On a mobile phone and stopping occasionally to sup a pint.

Always believed that people should work at their own pace.
If the bosses don't like it, then they can fuck right off.

Anyway, of more concern from the test, what is the over developed world doing to improve the lot of the average Cameroonian.

It was a special room for a very small group, think it was during the period where things began moving into the modern age of entering all application details into a thing called a computer!  Around 1995 time - I lasted 3 weeks, 1 day and 1 hour in the business before deciding I was already very bored - best decision I ever made.
