There has to be more to this than reported right? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-38862015200 hours, £1200 fine. Suspended sentence. WFT? Chefs must be shitting themselves every time they boil a lobster.

Unnecessary suffering? I really don't think it should be legal for live animals to be swallowed by some pissed up attention seekers in a game.

200 hours, £1200. it's the size of punishment I'm disagreeing with, it seems disproportionate for a sodding gold fish

It's a deterrent, I hope, to any behaviour someone capable of such unpleasant things could do in future.

Yes I suppose so. Though if you are pissed enough to drink a goldfish I doubt you consider such things. It also seems unduly high compared to much more serious crimes, like injuring/killing by driving while without a license. But I guess that's subjective/down to personal morality (to me its just a goldfish).

Well I guess if it gets such behaviour banned from ITV, it's a bonus... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I'm_a_Celebrity...Get_Me_Out_of_Here!

Does the law take into account what the animal is when it comes to sentencing? Genuine question...

Just got a "how did we do" feedback survey follow-up after a not terribly impressive customer service email conversation. Clicked on the link for the "How likely are you to recommend us to family and friends?" and got this: The newbalance.zendesk.com page isn’t working
newbalance.zendesk.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500
Not very would be the answer, if even their feedback survey wasn't broken
