Been in there loads of time, its not really a book shop in the traditional sense, more a secondhand book shop which is absolutely crammed with stock - although unlike many such places the books are quite organised into sections (the similar one in Morecambe is huge, but a complete free for all in terms of shelf organisation and thus total pot luck), always come out with something I don't need - last time I think it was a book about gardening from the 1920's! Can sort of understand why he charges as its bloody pokey and you cannot actually get in if there are more than a couple of people in there... As for being rude, that's just Yorkshire anyway  , anyone offended should have just gone round the corner to the Wensleydale Creamery and spent half an hour in the free tasting room, we had a week in Hawes a few years back and went to the creamery every day for a tasting session! |

The RAC. The Mrs has had a fun day..
Ok so the 3.5 hours taken to come out to my house to diagnose a dead battery this morning was understandable.
The £110 fleece me charge for a £70 battery was not.
10 minutes later car conked out on way to kwikfit (convenience factor of battery replaced today), 1pm.
"Be there in 2 hours"
They phone - "See you there at 4"
ring up 4:30 as she's waiting in cold with Batch_Jr_Jr. "will be there at 4:45" - fuckers weren't dispatched until 4:30, says so Ion his computer....
re-run diagnostics. Battery still dead.
Won't follow 1/2 mile to kwik fit
Won't price match
Too late for next day del on battery, plus I've got to interview at work tomorrow so can't be late and need car for Saturday morning. Mrs not at home tomorrow anyway. So paid their rip off fee. Such a simple job, but time is the enemy.
Cancelled membership. Will join a cheapo outfit (startRescue). Can't be much worse, so why pay RACs inflated premiums when they are so shit..
Plus this was my car, so no doubtt brownie points need to be repaid.
