Trying to get the baby to sleep and just as he's dropping off one of the cats comes in screeching at the top of her voice!!  Bad Mood

When my eldest was born we had a cat that'd been in the family for about 15 years. Old girl, grumpy, but not too much of a pain in the arse. Within 3 weeks she had abandoned our house and moved in with a lesbian couple 3 doors down, we gave up trying to bring her back every day and the ladies took her in full time.

Don't get me wrong, part-time lights are an absolute necessity. But, and this is what gets me, sometimes they can be on and they're clearly causing more harm than good. There was a day last week when they were on at 11am and it was clearly causing the traffic problems. I also recall them being on at about 14:00 with similar issues.

I use this roudabout several times a day and im pretty sure the person controling these lights just randomly decides when he wants to turn them on or off. There is no pattern to it whatsoever.

They should just leave them off, from experience regardless of what time of day it is, traffic flows better when the lights are off.

What does make me laugh is when the light do change and the people who are on the roudabout just go into sheer panic mode no knowing what to do.

The lights on that roundabout are supposedly triggered by traffic volume i.e. they should come on when it gets busy.

What does make me laugh is when the light do change and the people who are on the roudabout just go into sheer panic mode no knowing what to do.

How so? When they do come on all lights start red initially until the sequence then starts.

You then get the dullards who, despite a green light, stop on the roundabout to give way to the approaching cars from the right.

On the M4 last night on the way back from Yate, a car sat in the middle lane sloooooooowly overtook me (i'm limited to 68mph  No) who had their full beams on, occasionally switching to low beam, only to then go back to full beam. Cars coming the other way were flashing her, no change. I flashed my rear fog light on a couple of times, no change. She eventually passed me (I could see it was a girl), so I gave her a quick flash of the lights, no change. She stayed in the middle lane despite there being no other traffic in front of her, forcing the overtaking cars into the outside lane. Every 10 seconds or so she'd stand on the brakes, then accelerate away. I've never wished someone to break down so much in my life before. Silly cow.

The twat who was trying to 'push' me along on a very wet and busy road last night. Sitting 2ft from my bumper is really going to encourage me to get out of the way of an overweight middle aged gimp in a gutless rep mobile. Tool.

^^ had a beamer do this to me yesterday too. then try and undertake, then they saw why I couldn't pull in or speed up

in my youth id have flashed my break lights, these day I just get out the way, it's not worth the stress/risk. though a headlight flash normally gets me down to 70 pretty quickly Smiley

You need that bumper sticker that reads "I apologise for driving so close in front of you"

Have you ever considered an anger management course 4D....a lot of your posts on here seem only a small step away from road rage, which can have very serious consequences?

Nah, this is mildly annoyed Reg. Besides, putting it out there is a great stress relief (and people being twats is not unusual these days  Wink)

Stress relief is always a good idea.....do you ever listen to classical music when driving?
