I know all charity goes to a good cause but i am always reluctant to give to those doing "fun" things rather than "challenging" things.
Like jumping out of a plane or abseiling. Ok, you might have a fear of hights but for the most of it, where's the effort in jumping out of a plane? Running a marathon or other endurance activities on the other hand....

I'm running a 20k in October. Just saying.

Three years to produce a report that states, unambiguously, that the best site for a new runway in the SE is Heathrow.  And the first thing that Cameron comes out with when it's published: that his government is not going to be bound by the findings.

Whether you agree with another runway at Heathrow or not, what was the point of the report in the first place?  (Other than to enable Cameron to avoid having to make a decision before the general election.)  If there were prizes for dithering, we'd win gold every time.

Went to Nandos for the first time last week. A perfect example of hype over substance. It's not cheeky. It's a chicken shop.

Yes

Each time I've eaten in a Nando's I've wondered why most people seem to love it. It's glorified pub grub.

And anyone describing anything as cheeky, if they're not a teenage girl, [dmrism]deserves a fucking slap[/dmrism].

Agreed, ate in one once. Was awful, it arrived on a tray in thin cardboard dishes like fucking prison or aeroplane food. Will never eat in one again.

Went in one for the first and last time a couple of months back. Self service and crap overpriced food. Got asked by some staff member if we'd been before, when I said no, it was "really, never??" As if i was some sort of food luddite.

Then you're exactly the same as someone who only goes because of "the hype"

Why? I'm the same, not overly fussed on chicken, so see no need to go to a place that seemingly sells just chicken.
