Taking note of their stance on such matters, why the hell would you choose the Mail on Sunday?

Quite. It'd be like reporting concerns about corruption in football to Sepp Blatter.

What is the point of the new coin run with the updated Queen's head?

I know we get periodic refreshes, but it can't be too long before we all get a day off work, then we'll need Charles' headed coins anyway.

I'm not particularly anti-royal these days, its just basic economics.

Her mum lived to 102, could easily get another 14 years out of these.

Plus, it'll take a few years to work out how they can get Charles' ears onto a coin.

What's the point of shaving gel?

You put it on your face, rub it around a bit until it foams up - why not just use foam.

While I'm moaning about shaving, what pisses me off is I buy a Gillette Mach something or Glide something and when the blade gets blunt I can't remember exactly what model I bought so I can't buy refill blades so have to buy the whole fucking shebang again.

And why are blades so fucking expensive anyway?

I used to use gel as I have sensitive skin and canned foam doesn't offer me enough protection.

If you hate buying blades, and all the shit that goes with it, get a double edge razor and buy your blades for fuck all. You can also use proper cream and a brush and it pissed all over everything else and for cheaper.

No reason why tender has to have the current monarch's head on it......when I were a nipper, coins with Victoria and Edward VII were still in circulation and legal tender.

Ah, the old farthings and groats!

Farthings yes....groats no.  I had a nice little numismatic collection, but at some point in my travels as a youth, I lost it, or some cunt nicked it  Sad

I used to collect George V pennies....most were bog standard, but some had an H by the year meaning they were minted by the Heaton Mint in Brum....others from memory King's Norton Mint, signified by a KN by the year....KN's I believe were rarer.

Farthings went in 1960.....the little wren design...ace

There were 16 Thames Water vans parked against the TE this morning when I got my tickets.

<similarly sad git alert>

I too used to collect old pennies and had both 1918 and 1919 King's Norton issues. I think I still have them stashed away somewhere, along with a load of old shillings, two shillings, half crowns, sixpences, threepenny bits, ha'pennies and a few old ten bob and one pound notes as well

Ah the ten bob note. Pocket money :-)
