On the subject of old people. my mum gave her bank details to a bloke on the phone 2 weeks ago claiming to be from talk talk. She immediately phoned me saying she through she had made a mistake, and I told her to contact her bank, which she did.

I didn't think any more of it until she called me today asking me to pop round and have a look at her phone bill. She is deaf as a post, and had called 118 118 to try to get the number for her local Lloyds Bank. For whatever reason, that call lasted 29 minutes, and she was billed £102 for the call!

Fair play to Talk Talk, once I managed to get through to customer services, they agreed to write off £80.

Fair play to them! Try and teach her to navigate 'say no to 0870' ;-)

People.  Im doing a gig in Ipswich tonight.  Singer came backstage half way through the first half and said, there's a baby in the front row.  I thought he was exagerrating, but no.  I went out and the kid is being fed a fucking bottle.

Fair enough its a seated Aussie Pink floyd show, but still its running at about 105db and they've bought a kid with no fucking ear protection.

Unbelieveable thickness.

Just off the phone to the Police.

The girl we care for has been to visit friends in Bedford for a couple of days, and went to the swimming pool there. A bloke followed her to the showers and started wanking right in front of her. She complained immediately at the leisure centre reception, they found the guy and warned him - just fucking warned him. Police now involved, statements given, cctv retrieved and leisure centre staff apparently given a right bollocking.

That will come from the onward call they offer.  You continue to be charged at the 118 rate - never accept the onward call from a Directory Enquiry service (for those that still use them).  It's perfectly legit and advertised.  In fact even the rate to call them is massively different depending on which one you call and from which network you call from.

Regarding vaccinations, the mmr was feared to be dangerous when my eldest had his and many parents didn't allow their children to have it. We did and he got mumps last year anyway.

It's not a magic bullet. You could argue that he probably got mumps from somebody who wasn't vaccinated though, thus proving my point.

I no longer consider myself a 'youth'.  As such I know a lot of things are going to annoy me as I approach middle aged grumpiness.

But seriously youth people, do you genuinely have such low expectations of life and what the world is capable of that you must shout OMG, GENIUS, GAME CHANGER, YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED, etc etc all over the internet.

This is the latest example to congest my FB feed.  It is not only GENIUS!, but also AMAZING! and worthy of the status of 'a game changer'.

Its cooking a fucking potato.  There is an awful lot in life that is far more amazing.  Reserve you superlative and amazement for something that warrant more than an arched eyebrow.

You'd like to think think it was some weird youth sarcasm/irony. But I'm not so sure.
