They have Crouch to balance it out.

'Abby Clancy - what first attracted you to the millionaire footballer, Peter Crouch?'

That's a paraphrase of the 1990s (?) Mrs Merton interview from with Debbie McGee.

People who go on holiday on their own.

Backpacking/Traveling i can understand, anything else.....

What's wrong with that? I want a break, I'm single, I go on my own. In my work I have to put up with people and cater to their every whim all the time, so when I want to get away I generally want to go and be by myself somewhere.

Not saying I wouldn't go on holiday with other people, just, sometimes, I want to go away without having to worry about any other fucker bogarting my holiday.

^^ I agree. I'm lucky in that I love my own company as well, so doing shit without people to get on my tits is quite nice.

I've got 2 holidays I'm planning to have quite soon, both of which will be on my Colin.

Also, personal point, I find it easier to pick up women when my friends aren't around, as they are all wankers.

Another vote from me holidaying alone as well. When alone on holiday one usually meets so many people that one is not actually 'alone' at all. When you are not meeting new people there's usually loads of new and interesting stuff to see and do so it doesn't matter anyway.

It can actually be a better experience than going away with a bunch of people that you already know. Being alone you get to meet NEW more people than you would not have met otherwise.

Not everyone has close family and it's not always possible to tie in with friends plans/availability.......and you avoid the inevitable disagreements/sulks.   Grin

I've had great holidays with family, with friends and on my own.  I've also had some that weren't so good.

Travelling alone, making all the arrangements yourself (travel agents suck) and being a free agent when you get there can be a rewarding experience and you get to see places/things you wouldn't otherwise do.

My ear has been blocked since Tuesday last week. Happened before, saw the doc, told me to use off the shelf eardrops for a week then I got an appointment to have them syringed, so this time cut out the wait for a doc's appointment, got ear drops and just rung for an appointment to get them syringed, they're short staffed so gotta wait til next Wednesday. Brilliant.

That's worked out well then, as syringing doesn't work unless you've soften up the wax before hand.....in the past I've used olive oil, works well and a lot cheaper.
