I watched a gig at the Oasis once. I forget which band is was, they had a hit out at the time (their only one I think).

The band was terrible, the venue was worse.

Was it James Last ?

You must have had a bit of a dad dance to this...

Didn't write it themselves but a bit of a classic....

I can guarantee you I didn't.

The one and only time I danced (if, indeed, that was what it was) was to a Bob Marley tribute band, New Years Eve in Barbados.

I was truly hammered

Fifty quid to watch Simple Minds in a sports hall.

FIFTY POUNDS. That's scandalous.

Simple Minds always used to play some free thing in Luxembourg every year. Despite it being free and a 15 minute walk I never bothered. I think it is/was Texas this year.

You should try it...never too old.  I've always considered it to be one of those fundamentals of life, like walking.

Look at all of human history, in an anthropoligical sort of way, and dancing seems to be a timeless ritual necessary for expressing our inner self....look at David Brent.

They are total fucking shit. I'd rather eat my own testicles than watch them. They were shite 30 years ago and I can't see them having got better. Its a shame they didn't stay north of the border.
One other thing, Doctor Who - turned into total dogshit. Capaldi has all the makings of a decent Doctor but the scripts are total bollox and have mostly been since the latter days of Tennant. Get rid of Moffatt and bring someone decent in. Talking about living on previous reputation.

Maybe I will save it for my son's wedding next May.

It's my duty to embarrass

Chalkies, the bank one was absolute turd. My hope is that it all strings together into a big story like previous series and becomes a good story. Capaldi has been good fun and a pleasant change, but as you say, scripts have been shit.

The dozy cow who just opened her car door into mine. Just gawped at me and walked off.  Huh?
At least have the decency to put your hand up and acknowledge what I saw you do. Silly dick.
