The ever expanding use of "issue". It's obviously a politically correct thing, as in you can no longer say that a pupil has a problem, oh no, they have an "issue".

So now it is widespread, when we are actually referring to a problem. An "issue" means a topic for discussion.

IT'S A FUCKING PROBLEM, JUST SAY IT!!!

2-3k?! Might just leave it, or look at Paris. But was it you Dave that said it wasn't so well spectacled ? In which case I may s well look for something closer to home.

Any suggestions?

MK and Bournemounth both have marathons. I've just had an email saying I have been selected for the Paris marathon from the ballot. If you want to do a half, Reading is good and well supported. It's about March/April time so just missed this years, Cheltenham is quite nice and does a loop of the race course before heading to the finish line. It's also relativly flat as well.

The wife buying me beer.

Now of course I am not going to criticise the better half for buying me beer, I'm a very fortunate man. I wish that she would get her head around the 'one pint' policy, by which I mean that there is no such thing as 'one' pint. It just doesn't happen, 'one pint' is just a colloquialism meaning 'many pints'

So she asks me how many beers I would like for the night and I ask for a moderate amount. She buys me the moderate amount that I asked for..... PLUS some for herself just in case she she feels like drinking herself, which she usually doesn't, in the hope, nay, expectation that those beers will still be in the fridge the next day should she be in the mood.

After 10 years of marriage she has still not spotted the flaw in her plan.

Here's another one.

"Agility". The latest business buzzword and particularly in business IT, although I am not talking about the train wreck software development micromanagement nightmare called Agile.

It is supposed to be about positioning the business correctly and not about responsiveness.

What's wrong with "nimble" or "flexible"? No, we now have to be "agile".

PLEASE JUST FUCK OFF!
