From the OS...........

"We had to inform the Football League of our kit choice a few weeks ago," said Town Chief Executive Nick Watkins.

"The white kit is popular with the squad. After consultation with the players the manager's decision was to play in white.

"The team wore white in 1969 and hopefully Swindon Town can enjoy Wembley success again this year."

Why the fuck would the players choose to play in white? Total fucking madness, Surely they would choose to play in the team's proper colour.....RED!

Absolutely...please everyone e-mail Nick Watkins. It only has to be a few words.

I really can't believe how pissed off I am about this!

I've emailed and pointed out the Adver have started a "Paint the town red" campaign.

"The team wore white in 1969 and hopefully Swindon Town can enjoy Wembley success again this year."

That was because of the red colour clash with Arsenal,so both teams had to wear their away kits.
Arsenal in Yellow and Blue and ourselves in allwhite.I've emailed Nick and pointed this out to him.

And they should be polite ... remember it's not Bob Holt Smiley

Agreed, i kept mine polite and praised them for what they had done so far, but then made my point very clearly about the white shirts.

A totally poor decision. Millwall have their finger on the pulse with regard to merchandising for this match...flags, body paint, wigs, shirts etc. We'd end up looking like a bunch of anaemic silver threads waving flags of surrender. It cannot be.

Imagine if we wore the green potato stencil kit in '93!

At the end of the day (I love saying that) if the players have chosen it, then surely we should accept that as they're the ones playing in it. They were also the ones that insisted on wearing the blue a lot, so perhaps they find the red like a bad luck charm or something?!

I also thanked Nick and the board for all of their hard work, but pointed out that this could be
a PR disaster with the fans and to please reconsider this decision.I also pointed out that the
1969 argument is spurious.

If they find playing in red a fucking bad luck charm then they're at the wrong club wouldn't you say?!

RED ARMY!! half of wembley in red, half in blue, the classic old school rivalry. Then a fucking white team on the pitch come on what is going on here?
