Agreed Mr Hammer. Bit darker than the first series and absolutely superb.

Im generally loving it,but a slight criticism is that Luther seems to have developed super-human powers of deduction-I mean, from a grainy CCTV shot, how the hell did he know that weirdo was rolling a fucking dice?!

I am pretty sure that last nights episode was based on a true story. I seem to recall that in spain about 20 years ago, in either Madrid or Barcelona, some students decided to play an RPG called Magic the Gathering for real, and went on a killing spree, keeping scores.

Its only thanks to this thread I gave it a go. Its good. I like the fact he's a bit dodgy (by necessity).

I've been told that this is the last episode EVER tonight.
Is this true, or is it just the end of the series?
Gutted if it is the former - excellent viewing.

Have never watched an episode, is it really worth revisiting both series?

Most probably the last.  Idris Elba said he wasn't sure whether to stop at the end of the first series(I assume he's worried about being recognised as a character, rather than an actor, after The Wire), so I doubt he'll want to carry on.

Would be a shame if he doesn't want to do any more, lot of scope for plenty more series from Luther without it getting stale. The character's just getting going.

Selfish bastard.
