As STFC11 says....on Points West earlier (6.45pm) they had said that we had already sold around 8,000 tickets....and they were actually at the CG, so I am inclined to believe them rather than and internet rumour.

Dont be fooled...most season ticket holders will buy the full six allocation...for family friends etc...so if 5000 season ticket holders buy six each.........30,000 sold.
Don't think you're allowing for (say) kids STs, lonely singles (we've got a fair few of them I'll warrant) and season ticket holders doubling up (e.g. one ST buys six for group of mates, all ST holders). No way will most buy six each. And 22,000 in 24 hours? No chance. I call Samdy's bullshit and raise it a bollocks. |

22,000 would mean that every Season Ticket Holder for this Year and next (believe that's about 7000 unique people) had bought three, which I doubt severely.
I don't believe the 22000 figure myself, maybe 22000 left to sale. I tried the phone number this morning to no avail. Gave up the ghost and booked 8 tickets from two season tickets. Family and friends make7 and just me a Town fan. |
