I am not convinced about it at all - I know that's not too P.C. but there is a very large part of me that believes it is the earth's natural warm up/cool down as it has been doing for millions of years.....

No. Clearly that would be a very difficult sell with the way the world is at the moment.

As a general principle however, I'm not a big fan of immigration controls, as they're based on a set of assumptions that I don't share; namely that I should feel some greater sense of allegiance to one bloke that I've never met over some other bloke I've never met based on where each were born in relation to a line drawn in an entirely arbitary way on a map.

Frankly if Santasdead really has been beaten to a job by someone who's fresh off the ferry from Poland, with English as a 2nd or 3rd language, then what does that say about his employability?

The problem isn't immigration its the lazy useless British fuckers who can't be fucking arsed to get out of bed because succesive wanky Governments allow them to chose being a lazy cunt as a carrer choice.
If these scum spent less time breeding even bigger, drug dependent, violet scum, than themselves and got to fucking work then we wouldn't need the bloody foreginers coming over here,  as it is, we do and in my eyes they are a damn sight more welcome than some of the local scummy chavs.

It's not employability that's the problem though. It's the fact that with increasing numbers of immigrants and the lowering of the amounts of jobs being made available, added to that the amount of unemployed British people, there is going to be less chance of an actual Briton getting a job in their own country - which in my eyes is a major problem.

Well said. And it's the same ones that then complain they can't find a job they have no intention of taking or that they're missing out on "their" benefits/free housing we all owe them because of immigrants. Where can I vote chalkie next Thursday?
