Huge queues this morning outside the 3 main mobile phone stores (O2 / Vodafone / Carphone Warehouse) I see a notice on one of the windows that the I Phone 4 was released at 0830, but it just shocked me that there was that many people that either had the money to purchase it or that needs to upgrade, the biggest queue was outside O2 that stretched all the way round the corner up to the the enterance to the Brunel.

Orange were hopeless.

Got it fixed at Fonestyles, they did it in an hour and charged me handsomely for it!

Very Good.

I did for a bit, a Xiaomi. it was ok but apps were being shut a bit aggressively in the background despite trying to turn off battery optimisation. suspect it was the MIUI OS wrapper

it's a backup phone now. switched to a second hand oppo find X5 and it's a lot less frustrating (but 2.5x the cost)

eBay. nearly backfired as I've of the SIM slots was blacklisted. Thought I'd bought one that somebody owed money on.

was claimed to be a "mistake on operators part "

Thought it was going to get part paid, unlocked, then happen again.  but touch wood it's been several months and all good

although you have done level of protection from eBay/PayPal is made me think for next time.

Samsung A23 Jimbo, would probably serve you well.  Decent camera, mid level type of smartphone without any added bullshit and probably matches several iPhones that are poss a generation or two ahead of it.

Oh and these so called lower spec type of phones do tend to come with more in the box as well {flagship Samsung/Google/Apple models come with just the device and charging cable}.

I think the A23 is priced at about 150 GBP, so also plenty of change for a Snickers too  Cheesy Pint
