I expect we'll get used to it and in time, grow to love it.

Anyway, it's only for a season Roll Eyes

I'm sure we do have a 3rd party deal. When the blue third kit came out last season (before Huddersfield??) they had a pile of blank shirts in the club shop and were heat pressing the sponsor and club badge on as they were selling them...

That doesn't make it a third party deal, just a rush job.

That's quite specific to Middlesbrough I believe, they've always had that white band accross the middle.

When did the terminology change from 'stockings' to 'socks'?

When they stopped selling them with suspender belts

Bit different on the kids' ones though and the price hikes there are a bit steep. But I expect we'll still be getting one for both our kids

The more I think about this, the more I think the prices for kids' strips have gone too high. My youngest went to his mate's birthday party this morning and chatting to his Mum and Dad they'd been dead keen to get him a new kit for his birthday. But when they found out it was going to cost the best part of 60 quid for a kid's kit, they went and bought him a Liverpool kit instead for half the price. I'm sorry but nigh on 60 quid is WAY too much for a kid's football strip.

I agree. A couple of years ago you could probably have got the full adult kit for that.

Well, that's the problem, the kid's kits have been effectively done away with and replaced with "Youth Sizes" and so have gone up to pretty much the same price as the adult kit. A couple of years back (well maybe 3-4) you got a full kid's kit for about 30 quid. And for some reason the shorts were always Ruddock-esque

58 to be exact IIRC. That's full kit (shirt, shorts and socks) though, the shirts are "only" 33 quid. I pre-ordered two for my lads, with the back printing came to 78 quid. Which caused intakes of breath, I have to confess

You better hope we don't sell whoever you got printed on the back!
