Bit of a strange decision by Pompey to recall him considering them are doomed, you would think leave hinm with us let him get a bit of experience at L1 level..

We aren't/weren't playing him though. So that doesn't really hold true.

Fact is he wasnt good enough to get in our team. You wonder about attitude as well, because Mark Marshall was above him in the pecking order.

All in all, its a good job Pompey didnt accept our transfer bid.

I believe that Pompey only had 16 fit players for tommorows game.
Couldn't name their full quota of subs, hell of a state to be in for a prem club!

I heard he told Pompey he didn't want to play for us.

Makes sense. My initial thought when I heard he had gone was that he had been left out of the squad for Hartlepool and stormed off because of it.

Didn't get the opportunity. Had he stayed he would have almost certainly played a part. He went from a major player at Notts County to a squad filler at Swindon Town.

Portsmouth only had 5 on their bench yesterday so I imagine they did need him back.

DW will look at the possibility of signing him in the summer.

I'm guessing that depends on what league we're in!

He didn't spend enough minutes out on the pitch for us to be able to make a reasonable judgement.
I think it was the Rovers game......he showed a lot of promise when he came on, he was obviously told "We're getting dicked, just get on the ball as much as you can and try to make things happen." He had nothing to lose, went for it, and I liked what I saw. That - and the fact that Wilson has confirmed that he will try to get him in the summer, makes me confident that there's a player in there.
