My little boy is due on sunday. (In the style of Sam from Quantum Leap when he leaps into a new body at the end of an episode) oh boy.

I'll find time. If he comes on time, I have a month of work. Woop!

This is the sort of thing that sickens me....when my kids were born, there was no entitlement to any time off, so I had a couple of days by ringing in sick...exhaustion etc.

The missus got plenty, which was fair enough as she did the hard work.

I needed the overtime mind as parenting is a mighty expensive business, and carries on, I've just stopped paying for my kid at Uni approx 5k pa.

I've often thought there should be some sort of parenting licence to pass, a bit like a driving licence as so many people give it very little thought, and it isn't easy to bring up well rounded socially useful individuals.

2 weeks is still better than 0 weeks 0 days.

I quite liked it when my kids were babies as the missus got some fit bird  from the College to come round, who was doing a course in child care or something...she had to observe the baby, I got to observe her which was nice as women go off shagging a bit when they've just dropped a sprog or two.

For once we agree.....

Congrats Billy, and good luck to y'all. I'm sure Sam will agree with me that its the best feeling in the world, but its bloody hard work.
