These internet rumours are pure rubbish. Why are our own fans trying to wreck the relationship between a player who could well be our talisman for years to come?

Assuming they are our fans of course. Wind up merchants or kids who are too young to know better.

Just wanted to say cheers for posting that link, it was a good read.

The way I read into it, he must be constantly trying to get his head in some sort of order, instinctively reacting to the day-to-day stuff, listening to DW/AF/family etc, & thinking "Oh fuck it, just do what you do best, play your natural game, score goals, keep learning...." I suppose the massive changes going on his life will eventually become normal to him - what a blessing to have time on your side.

The way I read it, he's making a deliberate nod to Nietzsche through his media appearances, his football, and all of the above.

With ben it's a bit like Obelix not needing any magic potion before he fights the Romans, because he was dropped in the cauldron as a baby

That doesn't make any sense; Obelix isn't allowed to drink any more magic potion.

I'm more Captain Haddock. Without the peado sea captain bit.

cant believe he's got rid of his corsa!

I remember when myself, Sam and Steve saw him after the Charlton game, Steve said well played Charlie and he seemed to be in a state of shock!!

When I watched the highlights of the Southampton game and the way he took the ball around the keeper is that he did a Pele and pushed it past the keeper one way and ran around the keeper the other way.

I didn't want to say that Charlie is the new White Pele as that might be taking his meteoric rise a bit too far but what the hell.
